Supervisor Jobs description
A supervisor in an engineering organization is responsible for managing a team of engineering professionals and their performance. More specific duties of an engineering supervisor position includes hiring, training, motivating, and terminating engineering personnel; training new engineers; evaluating performance of staff members; participating in strategy formulation by providing feedback about the operations to the management; ensuring successful implementation of management decisions; handling technical and administrative issues that may arise in the team; keeping updated on various technical advancements; performing special tasks as directed by the senior manager or engineering director. An engineering supervisor typically reports to an engineering director.An engineering supervisor should have a bachelor\'s degree in an engineering discipline. Excellent academic credentials are required. Strong ability to lead and motivate is required. Related positions include engineering manager, team leader, senior manager, or a leader.
