Specialist Jobs description
An engineering specialist is a groomed and experienced person in a specific field of engineering, whose advice is sought in making important technical decisions. An engineering specialist is responsible for studying organizational facilities and machineries; troubleshooting when the machines breakdown; providing training to new engineering staff; advising the engineering personnel; offering advice to the management on technical advancements; preparing documents and reports regarding the use of technology; coordinating with managers from engineering and other departments; participating in health and safety policies formulation; and promoting technological know-how in the organization. An engineering specialist typically reports to an engineering manager or engineering director.An engineering specialist should have a bachelor\'s degree in an engineering discipline and several years of experience working in a specific area of engineering. Prior experience working as an engineering technician, engineering specialist, engineering analyst, engineering consultant, or engineering advisor is desirable for such positions.
