Network Engineer Jobs description
A network engineer is responsible for management and maintenance of various hardware and softwares that are utilized by a computer network. Typical duties of a network engineer include installing, configuring, and upgrading of network systems and servers; performing preventive maintenance on components; providing support for LAN, WAN, routers, and server software and hardware; training new network engineers; troubleshooting network problems; checking for data-losses and maintaining the network periodically; ensuring an uninterrupted LAN and internet connection to network users; working with third-party software or windows applications like Outlook, email servers, various messengers, etc. A network engineer typically reports to an IT director or a technical manager.A network engineer should have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, telecom or in a relevant field. Prior experience in the field of computer networking is advantageous. Cisco certification might be helpful.
