Intern Jobs description
An engineering intern is an engineering student looking out for hands-on experience by virtue of summer training, internship, or part-time opportunity. An engineering intern is responsible for providing administrative support to an engineering supervisor, manager, or engineer. Typical duties of an engineering intern include filling; travelling arrangements; making phone calls; coordinating with inventories, marketing, logistics, sales, and other departments; setting up and conducting various tests; studying the infrastructure of an organization; data entry for a department; filling up for engineering personnel on leave; gaining hands on experience; and handling issues under supervision of support staff or engineering manager. An engineering intern typically reports to the shop floor manager or engineering manager.Organizations that hire engineering interns include engineering companies, manufacturing departments, designing firms, IT companies, and telecom companies. Excellent academic credentials are required. Some employers may pay stipends to engineering interns.
