Gear Jobs description
The various engineering positions in the area of gear manufacturing or gear design are gear engineering supervisor, gear design engineer, gear product engineer, gear development technician, gear product engineer-bevel and hypoid gears, industrial design – baby gear, production supervisor - gear manufacturing, gear engineer, specialist - gear up tutor, gear/mechanical design engineer, and milling machine operator. Typical responsibilities of a gear manufacturing engineer include educating the shop floor personnel on gear manufacturing process, reading and translating gear charts for improvement and approval of various processes; organizing and facilitating training for new users, vendors, and shop floor personnel; and participating in preparation of user manuals. Gear engineering manager positions may be responsible for supervision of shop floor personnel, and the productivity of gear hobbers and other technicians.A gear engineering position typically requires a background in mechanical engineering. A bachelor\'s of science or master\'s of science degree in mechanical engineering is desirable for gear engineering positions.
