Responsibilities
Humana Pharmacy is a sub-entity of Humana, focused on mail-order prescription dispensing for its members and other key customers. Across two locations, we have five production lines supporting traditional mail, specialty and over the counter dispensing.
Application Support is a team within Humana Pharmacy Engineering that is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the server-based technology environment and deploying application updates across our dispensing locations. Our priorities include:
Communication - We seek to ensure that interested parties are aware of changes in their environment with appropriate approvals in place.* Responsiveness - We seek to act quickly to resolve issues identified on the lines. We understand the impact of lost productivity, as well as the importance of shipping orders out in a timely manner.* Outage Transparency/ Prevention - The team will report on outages in a transparent manner, seeking to learn from and prevent recurrence of issues.* Environment Management - We seek to maintain a stable technical architecture and operating environment. This requires working closely with IT and other infrastructure teams to put the tools and processes in place to identify and resolve issues early, before they are seen on the lines.* Information Management - Our goal is to get the right information in front of the right people, at the right time.* Process Improvement -The team works closely with Operations to identify and remap inefficient processes throughout the Pharmacy.
We also seek to leverage and thoughtfully deploy the expertise of our application development partner and internal IT organization.
We seek to respond quickly and deliberately to enhancement requests, implementing changes in a timely, but controlled manner.
The Release Engineer 2 helps automate and streamline operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test and production environments.
