Director, Environmental Consulting ','2100095','!*!The Environmental Consulting Director role will build an environmental consulting service for ABS Group. They will work with a multidisciplinary staff focusing on business development, client pre-positioning, proposal leadership, and delivery with an overall focus on ABS Group markets of Oil, Gas, and Chemical, Marine, and Offshore, LNG, Industrial and Manufacturing, and Government.
Develop and execute business strategies and initiatives to expand environmental services to new and existing clients
Managing and guiding project teams for completing environmental services
Business development and maintaining strong relationships with clients and external professional and industry groups
Active (but prioritized) presence in all key ABS Group markets
Development of a narrative and associated material (including social media material and branding) to support branding and growth of this new practice
Identify and develop strategies to capture new business with major clients and includes business development, strategic initiatives, and sales development
Support all ABS Group services with environmental expertise to expand good risk management and thereby to create synergies for the better selling of broader scopes of work
Enthusiastic participation in the ABS Group Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System to encourage by example increased use of the system so that the underlying data and information can be better used to develop insights, wisdom and be a vehicle for enhanced collaboration
Leads the strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department while liaising with the ABS Group Leadership Team to advocate the growth and investment in environmental services
Recruiting of the team to build out environmental services team in alignment with the business growth plan
Formulate and present proactive, strategic approaches to the proposal development process, which leverage the company's capabilities and value proposition
Build, grow and maintain an active list of large and/or strategic new prospects that will ensure the continuous growth of clients
Establish and develop strategic long-term relationships with current clients, new clients, and prospective teaming partners

Establish and develop strategic long-term relationships with current clients, new clients and prospective teaming partners
Have extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and can advise clients on how to steer clear of possible fines, legal action, or misguided transactions.
Demonstrated and proven experience in establishing and building relationships within all levels of client management
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills with experience working effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Ability to drive strategic direction, take initiative and work independently
Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Minimum years of Experience
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the environmental market with a strong record of developing and executing projects within the industry
Experience in project oversight, project quality, management of technical staff and regulatory compliance experience in consulting and/or industry, and a proven track record of achieving growth.
Must have a working knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance, including; regulatory compliance, compliance auditing, facility permitting, environmental management systems, safety and regulatory agency negotiations
Required/Preferred Education Requirements
Bachelor level degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
Master’s level degree in one or more of the above Bachelor level curriculum is preferred or MBA is desirable.
Typically reports to a Vice President level management as required by business or geography.
May have direct supervisory responsibilities of small teams related to projects or process initiatives
