Tommy Bahama is looking for a qualified Supply Chain Systems Administrator to join our efforts to create an island lifestyle that inspires the world to relax.
MISSION
Provide advanced application and database support for the company’s supply chain and distribution systems. Typical tasks include systems administration and integration, report development, technical and operational support, training, and documentation.
KEY RESULTS AREAS
• Provide daily operational support for the company's Supply Chain applications including supply chain management, warehouse management and conveyer systems, EDI, and shipping.
• Identify and develop in-house reports and/or systems functions where vendor-provided software falls short of company needs.
• Monitor Supply Chain SQL Server databases and application servers to insure maximum uptime and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Supply Chain incidents in a timely manner.
• Develop and implement custom scripts to automate and monitor daily operations.
• Create new instances of databases and copy databases between test and production environments.
• Work with the DBA team and vendors to resolve database-related issues.
• Document all Supply Chain application configurations and administrative procedures.
• Work with the Project Management team and business units to provide reports and data in support of business operations
• Receive & respond to Supply Chain related incidents from systems alarms and/or internal systems user reports.
• Assign and/or update incident severity levels based on business impacts.
• Provide technical research resources for incident resolution, coordinating with other IT groups or vendors when necessary.
• Inform user groups and IT teams of incidents and provide periodic status and resolution ETA.
• Work with software vendors regarding resolution of application bugs and systems issues.
• Create technical/operational test plans for new software patches and releases.
• Implement patches and releases into production systems.
• Provide 24 X 7 emergency support for systems and applications as needed
EXPERIENCE, TALENT AND EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years experience in design, deployment and administration of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with DTS, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• 5 yrs of progressive IT experience
• Experience working with Blue Cherry preferred by not required.
• Experience supporting Supply Chain systems a plus.
• Experience with Windows OS and Active Directory environment.
• Experience with Citrix and Terminal Services
• Knowledge of networking and TCP/IP
• Experience managing Microsoft IIS.
• Ability to work through problems independently
• Must have professional phone, email, and customer service skills
• Knowledge of SQL server database environment and SQL tools
• Experience developing SQL queries
• Experience writing scripts using PERL, DBI, VBS, FTP, and XML
• Ability to comprehend and document technical issues with an attention to detail
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and communicate status of multiple tasks
• Ability to create intuitive technical and non-technical documentation
