VED Electronic Brake SW projects, span the globe and requires Software project managers (SWPM) to keep the big picture in focus. As a SWPM Intern, you will support complex, multi­component software projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes supporting project schedules, closing open issues, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to Software Project Management. Your projects span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

Core Responsibilities:

Supporting Software Project Management in the following areas:

-Operational supervision of the SW project

-Interface between overseas SW development and local project management team

-Understand Customer software delivery requirements and priorities

-Integrate and deliver of ECU software to vehicle bench development per defined schedule

-Participate in Engineering and Product Development meetings

-Provide support to Vehicle application teams for identification of root cause for issues and corrective action plans

-Prepare and present responses to action items

-Ensure all aspects of production processes for software and calibration programming are validated


Required Qualifications:

-Must be enrolled in a US accredited degree program

-Must maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8

-Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

Preferred Qualifications

-Ability to read and debug embedded software created in C code

-Exposure to software test methodologies

-Proficient in English ­ reading, writing, speaking and understanding

-Self-motivated and driven

-Strong interpersonal skills ability to build relationships

-Proactive­ seeking out open issues and actively persuading global team members to close them out not waiting for things to happen
