Harley-Davidson is on a mission to the lead the electrification of the Motorcycle Industry and is excited to open our Silicon Valley Product Development Innovation Center focused on EV Systems. We are looking for an Embedded Electrical Engineer (Mixed Signal) to join our experienced team driving the innovation, design and development of EV architectures for H-D's future portfolio of HV and LV electric vehicles.
In this position you will:
*Design and develop low- and high-voltage electronics hardware. *Contribute to vehicle level integrations, including thermal and high voltage electrical interfaces. *Design and evaluate electrical systems, electronic circuit boards, components, and applications, including schematic design, component selection, and PCB layout. *Follow full life-cycle of product development process. *Assure product quality by performing worst-case circuit analyses, as well as designing testing methods and testing the components, circuits, and complete PCBs.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering degree.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering and circuit design, preferably in automotive industry. The following experiences are also required.
*Experience designing analog and digital circuits. *Ability to analyze and optimize for reduction of cost, mass, and volume. *Proven experience with EMI/EMC compliance challenges, design for reliability, and design for manufacturability. *Familiarity with typical lab tools, including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. *Knowledge of digital protocols, such as CAN, I2C, SPI, RS232. *Command of schematic capture and circuit layout tools, preferably Altium. *Familiarity with product development processes from design to production, including DFMEA.
