The Software Quality Engineering Testing Technician 4 carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems, software applications, products and services meet organizational quality standards and end-user requirements. The Software Quality Engineering Testing Technician 4 assumes ownership and leads advanced and highly specialized administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. The Software Quality Engineering Testing Technician 4 also leads the software testing aspect of the safe agile scrum teams and reports out to leadership stakeholders the status of each sprint or iteration and product increment.
The Software Quality Engineering Testing Technician 4 performs and leads tests of software applications to ensure proper quality operation and freedom from defects. May create test data for applications. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to leadership. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Acts as information resource about assigned areas to technical writers. Performs complex work flow analysis and recommends software quality improvements. Decisions are regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and/or external vendors including coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals, and often oversees work of others and/or is the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product or technology. Works within broad guidelines with little oversight.
The successful candidate for this role will have significant experience with software testing, working in an agile/scrum environment and leading/driving continuous improvement as a member of a team. This person also has experience leading complex software application testing projects with significant integration points. Finally, they will have experience leading and partnering with development, system integration, and product owner resources to ensure complete and appropriate documentation, requirements, user stories in an effort to generate the most complete test cases possible.
2 - 4 years of technical experience
Experience performing and leading tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Bachelor's or Master's Degree
ISTQB Agile Certification
1 year of leadership experience
