Rauland is currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer. In this role, you will deploy highly competitive Final Assembly processes and End of line Test Automation. Implement compliant, effective and efficient Process and Equipment Controls as required by 21 CFR part 820 Quality System Regulations. Collaborate within a cross-functional team to ensure that internal and external customer expectations are consistently exceeded. The scope of work includes automated test development and execution in cooperation with cross functional teams. Lead the Final Assembly process to the next level of test and assembly methods. Explain the rationale behind test and assembly methods/techniques in an FDA Audit.
Work in a cross functional engineering team to obtain test specification and provide test alternatives for production testing while minimizing test cycle time, reducing variability and increase product yield as part of a continuous improvement effort.
Develop new technologies to build and test products in Final Assembly. Provide mechanical innovation to increase production flow and automated functional test of products.
Assist in reducing the defects as measured in Final Assembly ELT testing. Communicate and work with engineers in ATE, SMT, PCB & Plastic on defects found in ELT to implement methods to prevent defects escape to Final Assembly.
Develop ELT test fixtures and test programs for New Product Introduction according to the NPI Master Schedule. Research tools, methods, and technology trends to support departmental test automation objectives.
Implement Lean and Six Sigma Manufacturing using DMAIC, methods, value stream mapping and 5S. Participates in ongoing process improvement efforts to ensure test automation is promoted and applied effectively across multiple teams.
Support manufacturing and resolve all technical problems related to test fixtures, test station, equipment & other devices used in production lines in a timely manner to avoid downtime.
Deploy statistical process control in Final Assembly as well as other departments.
Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical Engineering
2 years or more experience as test engineer.
Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office application, especially Excel, Access and Solid Works
Proficient in programming with Visual Basic, C , Labview. Analytical skills with attention to detail and quality focus and familiar with all different types of test equipment.
