The Best Buy Online Experiences group is seeking an Associate Digital Engineer I within the Online Experiences team who will be responsible for writing fantastic code while being a positive team player. What you will do as an Associate Digital Engineer I: Architect innovative solutions and creating exceptional user experiences for our customers.

Opportunity to collaborate with a team of highly-skilled and energetic engineers with frequent one-on-one sessions

Implement software in the services ecosystem, using open-source solutions with a focus on customer experience, sophistication, and scale

Assist the team in adding enhancements to our system, refactoring technical debt, and researching new technologies and frameworks

Collaborate with cross-discipline team to solve problems of a top 10 e-commerce website

Use modern technology to build accessible, innovative, and highly interactive user interfaces

Write code and complete programming using current programming languages and technologies

Troubleshoot system issues, fix software defects, perform debugging and testing

Participate in stand-ups, iteration planning, design reviews, and other typical agile ceremonies.

Support production applications

Troubleshoot system issues, fix software defects, perform overall testing/debugging

Minimum Qualifications: 0-2 years of relevant experience

Development experience with JavaScript/ECMAScript, JSX, and CSS (Less or Sass).

Experience with version control systems (GIT, TFS, etc)

Understanding of basic web application architecture (client/server, RESTful APIs)

Advanced CSS experience creating animations and interactions

Preferred Qualifications: Experience building tests with Jest, Cypress, or similar library

Build process experience, automation (Gulp / Webpack)

Knowledge of performance and web accessibility best practices

Node JS, React, Redux, Express Server
