The Industrial Engineer will carry out complex or novel assignments to improve and optimize business process performance.Responsibilities:Leading or supporting complex high impact projectsApplying OE principles such as Lean and 6-Sigma practices in broad areas of assignments to drive continuous improvement at the siteIdentifying ways to improve the manufacturing and support processes to ensure the highest quality, lowest cost and shortest lead time.Supporting plant and\/or functional leadership in analysis of operations, planning of activities, new product introductions, new technology, and implementation of improvement projects.Performing resource modeling (capacity and labor) and gap analysis, developing novel strategies and plans to close these gaps, and driving the execution of the plans.Providing day-to-day OE coaching to personnel to achieve expected business resultsFollowing all regulatory requirements applicable to area of responsibilityDeveloping, validating and maintaining machine and labor standards for use in modelingBasic Qualifications:Master\u2019s DegreeORBachelor\u2019s degree and 3 years of Engineering experienceORAssociate\u2019s degree and 6 years of Engineering experienceOR High school diploma \/ GED and 8 years of Engineering experiencePreferred Qualifications:3 years of experience within Manufacturing, F&E, Process Development, or Quality with cGMP experienceExperience leading high impact projectsAbility to communicate and present ideas to staff and managementProficiency in MS office suite including Excel, Power Point, and ProjectProficiency in development of Tibco Spotfire or TableauExperience in process, machine and\/or labor modelingExperience with Lean Manufacturing (i.e. waste identification, PDCA, Kaizen, changeover reduction, etc.) and improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, DMAIC.Able to apply engineering principles in-order to define, simplify, and solve complex process issues and to evaluate opportunities for process improvementsExperience in process modeling and plant simulation directly related to biotech\/pharma manufacturing.Amgen focuses on areas of high unmet medical need and leverages its expertise to strive for solutions that improve health outcomes and dramatically improve people\u2019s lives.
