Our team is looking for an experienced Wireless Communications Engineer to drive design specification, or development for a new state of the art mobile SATCOM communications system.

In this role you will be responsible for design, specification or development for a SATCOM communications system including end to end 4G / 5G communications layer 1/2/3 system design . This position requires strong problem solving skills focused on Wireless Communications Engineering.

In this dynamic role you will have the opportunity for requirements capture, CONOPS definition, high level design and interface definition of a 4G based eNodeB, corresponding user terminal and associated management system. This involves t working with technical leadership, vendors/subcontractors as well as interfacing with the customer on requirements, design reviews, Q&A and systems engineering status on all aspects of the eNodeB development.

This position requires a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Not needed prior to starting.

This positions is contingent upon program award expected in March 2021.

Basic Qualifications:

1) Subject matter expert in 4G/5G Layer 1, 2 and 3 protocol stacks as well as higher application layers

2) Working knowledge of wireless communications and RF aspects such as link budgets

2) Strong Oral and Written communication skills.

3) Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.

5) Requirements capture expertise

5) Experience interacting with customer and vendors and presenting at requirements and design reviews.

6) Knowledge of 4G core network operation and user equipment interactions with a 4G base station

7) Experience supporting software teams and verification teams with requirements interpretation and test result review

Desired Skills:

1) Experience with Agile methodologies

2) Satellite communications

3) Experience with modeling and simulation
