The Environmental Catalysts & Systems (ECS) Business of Shell Catalysts & Technologies is engaged in the development, manufacture and sales/marketing of catalysts and systems for stationary air emission control markets worldwide. Major current markets are Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) for NOx control, Catalytic Dioxin Destruction and Catalytic Nitrous Oxide (N2O) Decomposition.

What’s the role?

Technical Service Engineers develop system designs, job cost estimates, and provide technical service both remotely and onsite for environmental catalyst systems and air pollution control equipment. This role is based in the US and supports North America and European customers.

Accountabilities:

Develop system designs and costs for environmental catalyst systems in response to customer inquiries

Assist Sales & Marketing in the technical sales of environmental catalyst systems to customers

Design, specify and procure system equipment and components

Internal project management of orders from order receipt through delivery to customer, including management of subcontractors

Supervision of installation and start-up at customer’s sites

Manage and conduct field technical service

HSSE responsibility for self

Key challenges:

Coordinate the sales process as per PMI standards (control scope, deliver on-time, within budget and without warranty claims) to ensure on-time, accurate order execution

Deliver designs on an expedited basis to meet business needs

Learn on a technical level, the ECS product and systems portfolio

Skills & Requirements

What we need from you –

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

Engineering, Science, or Technical degree required (ChE, ME, Chemistry)

Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience with environmental catalyst systems and air pollution control equipment

Demonstrated effective project management

Project leadership skills and experience, preferably multidisciplined projects

Manufacturing Industry experience, Petrochemical or Refinery experience preferred

Strong and demonstrated supplier negotiation skills

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Up to 25% travel may be required
