Product Overview:

ZF is a leading developer and innovator in the exciting and expanding fields of Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD). These rapidly evolving camera, radar and lidar based technologies assist drivers by providing information and acting on environmental data at the front, side and rear of vehicles to help warn drivers of impending danger. They can also provide intuitive cues or actions such as braking and steering inputs to help “coach” the driver to stay in lane or offer convenience functions like Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Collision Mitigation Braking (CMB), Following Distance Indication (FDI), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Centering Assist (LCA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Surround View (SV) - 360 degree Bird's Eye View with 3D image perspective and integrated safety.

Responsibilities:

Support the Advanced Technology Development team through flexible & active engagement in a variety of hands-on activities

Participate in team discussions, offering a unique viewpoint based on your knowledge and experience

Take an active role in multiple and diverse projects becoming familiar with engineering tools and procedures

Review and comprehend different types of specifications developed within ZF engineering, our suppliers, and OEM customers

Prepare engaging presentations, summaries and product briefs to share with the cross-functional team and engineering management

Lead focused projects seeking to find solutions that are novel while adhering to the best practices of engineering excellence

Skills:

Experience taking an active role in group activities

Understand engineering fundamentals and methods

Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Hands-on approach

Self-motivated and engaged in every activity

Familiarity with Matlab and/or C/C programming is desired

Transportation/Travel:

You must have access to your own vehicle to enable travel to/from work.

Very infrequent domestic travel that accommodates your personal schedule within the Michigan/Ohio/Illinois/Indiana region may be needed.

Education:

Must be pursuing a University Degree in the areas of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
