Responsibilities of this position includes supporting failure analysis by performing various analytical techniques on state of the art tools. This work consists of wet and dry chemical etch techniques, sample polishing and cross-section analysis techniques. The qualified candidate will be working closely with internal and external engineering teams, as well as offshore engineering teams.
A.S. degree in electronics, certificate or equivalent experience.
7 years of experience in semiconductor device sample preparation processes.
2 to 3 years of experience in failure analysis.
Basic knowledge of semiconductor IC assembly, IC package inspection, and Quality assurance.
Experience working with X-ray, CSAM, and optical microscopes.
Strong organizational and communication skills is a must.
Ability to work in a multi-functional lab environment.
Experience using office software tools such ad MS-Work, Excel, Powerpoint, and various database programs.
Knowledge of electronics IC package, and semiconductor wafer fabrication process is desired.
Experience using SEM (Scanning Electron microscope) is preferred.
