One of our clients is looking for talented and highly motivated Software Engineering Manager (V&V and Requirements). I have attached below job position details for your review.
This is a full-time permanent position
located in Northern New Jersey. Compensation package consists of attractive salary, annual bonus, and excellent benefits. Our client will also provide relocation assistance.
Job Duties:
We are seeking a talented Manager to lead team of software V&V and Requirements engineers for software applications used by healthcare devices.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Lead planning and scheduling of all Software Quality Assurance (V&V) project tasks
- Lead planning and scheduling of all Software Requirement Engineering project tasks
- Leads the effort in defining software requirements and developing software test specifications, test plans and software test procedures.
- Leads the development of both automated software tests and manual software test protocols to ensure that software complies with performance, safety and regulatory requirements.
- Champions the automation of verification protocols when appropriate and oversees their implementation.
- Responsible for the quality of work being delivered by participating in technical walkthroughs of team members verification/validation activities and results
- Report own and team's progress and issues to the Senior Management in timely manner. In particular to escalate issues that might impact on quality or the ability to deliver to time scales or estimates
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in software validation and software requirement engineering
- 3 years in management / leadership roles managing software engineers or software QA Engineers
- Knowledge of software testing strategies, verification and validation procedures.
- Experience with various requirement engineering methodologies
- Solid project management & organizational skills with proven record of consistently meeting established goals and following through on commitments.
- Strong problem solving ability with excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Nice to have: Experience in testing healthcare software applications or software used in an electro-mechanical device such as medical device, copier, printer, bank ATM machine, or a similar device.
