This position is based in St. Louis, Missouri.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead integration and test team execution on the following product line work statement for Boeing-developed avionics:

Software test environment development and maintenance (includes test script and system simulation environment, system simulation models, software test stations (STS)

Systems-level integration test station (SITS) development and maintenance

Targeted test platform affordability initiatives (e.g., test automation, intelligent re-use across qualification and production test environments, leverage 'One Boeing' capabilities across global talent pool)

Use project management skills to:

Drive affordability, and leading integration and test team execution efforts

Manage quality, risk/issues/opportunities, cost, schedule requirements

Create and manage resource-loaded plan

Ensure deliverables meet specification requirements

Drive opportunity creation and realization

Use metrics to make quality, value creation visible

Represent BT&E capabilities for assigned work statement to:

Serve as business partner-facing interface

Work and leverage expertise of BT&E Principal Leads and Technical Leads to address quality and affordability

Enable integration between AvionX team, BT&E horizontal teams, and BCA teams to reduce risks early

Support cultural transformational efforts: embrace and implement shift left, right-to-left thinking, systems thinking methodologies to support the growth of Boeing strategic control / intellectual property, the targeted cost-of-goods-and-services (COGS), and the growth of Boeing aftermarket share (aligned with Vertical strategies)

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Experience in test leadership, planning and execution

Experience with Avionics software and hardware development

Experience in engagement and leadership for distributed teams, communication across technical and management teams

Experience influencing decisions without direct authority, compromise and conflict resolution

Experience in system engineering processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Modeling and Simulation and Systems Integration Test - expertise and knowledge of simulation and systems integration core architecture framework and common modeling strategy

Experience in engineering disciplines (mechanical design, electrical design, propulsion/fuel systems, dynamics, control theory, and test instrumentation)

Experience in military and FAA certification

Experience on commercial and military programs; interaction with external customers managing requirements, opportunities, risks and issues

Typical Education / Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
