Since its beginnings in 1933, Telephonics has evolved from a small company devoted exclusively to supplying lower technology electronic products to the U.S. Department of Defense, to being recognized as a world leader in high technology electronic systems and sub-systems for military and commercial applications. Today, our advanced systems are successfully deployed around the world providing highly reliable situational awareness to our war-fighters and performing critical military missions. With today's heavy emphasis on Net-Centric military operations, the same innovative thinking and technologies that were incorporated in Telephonics' early communications developments, such as audio multiplexing and high noise environment audio headsets developed for military aircraft operations, form the basis for our current advanced, all digital, totally secure communications systems we provide our customers today. Over the years following 1933, our role has expanded further as we have added other airborne and ground based systems required on the modern battlefield to our portfolio. In addition, Telephonics' air traffic management systems help control air traffic in some of the most densely populated air spaces around the world.
