ENSCO Avionics, Inc. has a need for a Reliability Engineer to work with control systems for the Avionics industry.  Primary role will be to support the new design of avionic control systems at the electronic component level.  The candidate’s primary responsibility will be establishing and executing Board and connected systems level reliability, risk management, and obsolescence reviews for new and delta designs.  The position will touch on aspects of failure mode and effects analysis and DO-160 environmental analysis including EMI, thermal, and vibration.  The candidate will make informed recommendations to Circuit and Product Designers on part selection and board design parameters.  The role will require interpersonal skills, organizational skills, customer interaction skills, and a passion for meeting our customer’s schedules and deadlines. The person will be required to work within established standards and processes for Components Engineering and Parts Selection in high-reliability Electronics Circuits and Assemblies and will be responsible for driving this standardization into the technical solution. BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 3 years’ experienceDemonstrated ability to read, interpret and follow schematics, engineering drawings, circuit layouts, and parts listsMS Office (Excel, Word, etc)Excellent interpersonal skills including working in team environmentsExcellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients and colleaguesIndependent self-starter who can drive tasks to completionMust be a U.S. CitizenFMEA or similar report generationAvionic or Military embedded control systems experience#LI-MM1For more than 35 years, ENSCO Avionics has developed sophisticated airborne systems for the aerospace industry to meet DO-178C, DO-254, DO-278A, and military standards for manned and unmanned systems.
