BMS Cell Therapy Global Manufacturing is seeking an experienced and motivated candidate to join the Strategy & Business Operations (S&BO) team to deliver and optimize the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Business Operations (BO). This position plays a critical role in facilitating and guiding business planning, process governance, and portfolio decision-making in partnership with Cell Therapy leadership. This role requires strong pharma operations acumen as well as experience facilitating effective organization-wide processes and communication. This position requires a willingness to play a very active, behind-the-scenes role to support business operations, portfolio decision-making, and project management.

The roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Project Portfolio Management

Develop project portfolio management process for cell therapy capital projects and new technology projects.

Implement the portfolio governance processes, system structure, and decision pathways to foster transparency, efficiency, alignment and scale in partnership with cell therapy function stakeholders and customers.

Collaborate effectively with Global Engineering, Global MSAT, Finance, and other Cell Therapy functions stakeholders and customers to align on the structure and processes enabling the portfolio management system.

Support portfolio insights and analytics to enable strategic discussions, scenario planning, decision and trade-off analyses for investment options.

Identify opportunities to enhance portfolio management and implement appropriate industry best practice portfolio management tools and methodologies.

Support functional project leaders with development of business cases for capital projects and new technologies, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

As needed, assume project manager role.

Business Operations

Drive and enhance CTGM operating processes and operations, including monthly network reporting of goals and KPIs, network reviews, and meeting preparations in partnership with Manager and CTGM leadership team.

Manage CTGM network sharepoint hub, and support the network PMO and OE communities.

Identify opportunities to scale and enhance business processes and approach to increase efficiency

Role will be a member of the CTGM S&BO team, and can act as a backup for the Manager or Peers.

Participates and supports team meetings, projects, and strategic initiatives as necessary.

Qualifications:

Required: >5 years of experience in portfolio development, project portfolio management, and/or portfolio operations in pharma operations setting. Desired: PMP certification.

Experience in PM, engineering, finance, MS&T, OE, Lean Six Sigma, supply chain, pharma manufacturing operations, and business analytics a plus.

Masters and/or Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Operations, or Technical discipline.

Experience collaborating on teams to achieve project objectives.

IT proficiency, including project & portfolio management tools, analytics, business intelligence tools, visual reporting applications, enterprise systems (e.g. Sharepoint, MS Project, PowerBi, Tableau, SAP, etc…).

Adept communication skills including ability to summarize complex issues concisely and listen effectively to stakeholders to understand needs and challenges

Proven ability to innovate and drive processes and change in a cross-functional matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders and constituents

Highly collaborative with outstanding relationship management skills, high emotional intelligence

Strong initiative with the ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity and timelines simultaneously

Self-starter who identifies and helps solve problems, and can deal with ambiguity

Strong planning and organization skills
