- The finishing process will create a little dust. You will want to remove the contents from the room and seal off entryways.
- If there is any grease or dirt on the paneling, clean it with a wood cleaner or a mixture of 1/4 cup white vinegar and 1 quart water.
- Sand the paneling lightly to remove any glossy spots.
- Remove sanding residue with a vacuum and tack cloth.
- Apply the new topcoat with a brush, paint pad or sponge brush. If you need a second coat, check recoat time on label instructions before applying.
