Systems Engineer Jobs
A systems engineer is involved in installation of computer systems; buying hardware and software; contributing to organizational policy with regard to quality standards and strategic planning; assisting systems/ business analysts, programmers, and support specialists; evaluating user needs and system functionality; planning, developing, and implementing budgets; scheduling upgrades and security backups; ensuring adherence to software licensing laws; providing secure access to the network and protection from internal and external attack; hiring information systems interns; and ensuring flawless performance of all IT systems. A systems engineer typically reports to an IT manager or systems manager.
A systems engineer can be found working with an IT company or a software development unit of a company. A systems engineer should have a bachelor\'s degree in software engineering, information technology, or computer science. Related positions include IT engineer, web developer, information systems security officer, and systems manager.
