ProE Jobs
ProE jobs relate to mechanical engineering design positions which require expertise in the use of ProE/ ProEngineer software. A ProE professional or ProE designer is responsible for generating detailed fabrication drawings; performing part mold ability check, complex interference fit checks and tolerance analysis; development of prototyping and manufacturing processes; offering technical advice regarding castings and molding; making use of Pro-Engineer modules; and doing routing product development work. A ProE professional or design engineer reports to the engineering manager or director of engineering design. Some organizations may refer to a similar position as a ProE/ AutoCAD drafter, CAD designer, design engineer, ProE designer, ProE design engineer, or mechanical design engineer position.
A ProE professional has a degree in mechanical engineering and strong expertise in the use of ProE and/or AutoCAD. Strong technical skills and excellent analytical ability are essential for such roles.
