Mechanical Engineer Jobs
A mechanical engineer position may be available in the area of production engineering, fabrication works, automobile engineering, hydraulic engineering, or with companies in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. A mechanical engineer is responsible for handling all the mechanical engineering related problems in the division; educating and training workers on technical aspects at the facilities; supervision and mentoring of workers at plants; keeping updated on new trends in the area of mechanical engineering; providing technical advice to the management as required; and participating in purchase and procurement of equipments and raw materials for the unit. A mechanical engineer typically reports to an engineering director.
A mechanical engineer has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Prior experience in the area of mechanical engineering is an advantage. Strong knowledge of fundamental concepts in mechanical engineering is required.
