Entry-Level Engineering Jobs

An entry-level engineering position is generally available with a manufacturing, telecommunication, oil/natural gas, construction, or engineering company. An entry-level engineering position is responsible for ensuring faultless functioning of the various machines in a plant; ensuring health and safety regulations; performing quality check for manufactured products; traveling to manufacturing units or customer locations and checking on products; coordinating with inventory, raw materials, sales, marketing, and logistics departments; attending training sessions and meetings; and performing other tasks as assigned by the engineering manager. An entry-level engineer typically reports to an engineering manager.
An entry-level engineer generally has a bachelor's degree in a specialized field of engineering such as aeronautical engineering, construction science, architectural engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or civil engineering. Prior experience gained through a summer internship or a project in an engineering company may prove beneficial.
