Environmental Engineer Jobs
An environmental engineer is responsible for studying the various living and non-living bodies that surround the environment and affect it. Typical duties of an environmental engineer position are to perform research in various areas like soil, ground water, pollution control, greenhouse effect, seismic movements, rain falls, and animal science; preparing reports and submitting them to the concerned authority; creating environmental awareness among people; participating in meetings and training sessions in the area; educating industrial organizations on best practices and EHS regulations; and promoting environmental care campaigns. An environmental engineer typically reports to the environmental engineering director.
An environmental engineer should have a bachelor's degree in the area of environmental science. Excellent academic credentials are required. Prior experience from an environmental engineer position may be looked upon favorably by some organizations. A concern for nature and the environment are key traits for such positions.
