CAM Jobs
The CAM engineer determines the most effective ways through the computer aids to use the basic factors of production to make a product and is primarily concerned with increasing productivity through the management of mechanics. CAM engineers are expected to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently, carefully study the product requirements, use computational mathematical methods to meet those requirements, and design manufacturing and information systems. A CAM engineer also needs to develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality. As a CAM engineer, one may also lead the CAM program team and responsible for the team result and ensure all CAD file and program have been updated. He has to ensure effective communication between Process Engineer and other sections. The CAM engineer assists in estimation of assign hours and Tooling process plan when required.
A bachelor's degree in CAM and CAD is required for almost all such engineering jobs. Most engineering programs involve a concentration of study in an engineering specialty, along with courses in both mathematics and science.
