The Software Engineering Manager leads the efforts to develop and maintain applications targeted at extending security technology capabilities onto mobile devices and into the cloud. The ideal candidate should have proven experience building high quality, mobile or cloud service applications using the latest technologies. You will lead the effort to define and develop applications that are leveraged extensively throughout the web, mobile and desktop product portfolios. Essential Functions

•Leads and supervises the software engineering team to develop and maintain software to meet stated objectives
•Manages software development projects in accordance with Agile-inspired practices
•Deliver and maintain software that meets functional, performance, quality, security and schedule requirements
•Define technological vision for the product’s architecture to support growth
•Utilize technologies and processes to meet product reliability, scalability and other appropriate quality expectations
•Generate creative ideas for solving design and implementation challenges
•Represents the software engineering team in discussions with product management and other teams
•Coordinates software developers’ efforts when their involvement is needed to address production issues

The Software Engineering Manager needs to have strong leadership qualities, grounded in personnel management experience and a solid technical background. Specific qualifications include:

•BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
•At least 3 years of experience managing a software engineering team comprised of more than 5 individuals
•At least 10 years of overall experience in the area of software engineering
•Experience managing offshore resources
•Experience developing applications using C#/.NET or Java
•Experience in overseeing the development of software projects from design to completion
•Experience with Agile-inspired software development approaches
•Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
•Well-honed communication skills, both oral and written

Desired

•Experience building services hosted in the Windows Azure Cloud Services infrastructure
•Experience with technologies such as NET 4, ASP.NET and MVC
•Experience with technologies such as iOS, Cocoa Touch, Android, and associated APIs
•Previous experience with REST, SOAP and WCF
•Experience with building scalable, reliable and secure web services and web-based applications
