3. Chemical Engineers - are those that use device apparatus and procedures for large-scale chemical industries. This job requires the engineer to plan and test methods for manufacturing products, then oversee production as well. They are expected to have an average annual salary of $61,100 – excluding benefits.

4. Agricultural Engineers – are those that utilize engineering technology and knowledge of agricultural principles, equipment and structures to create or develop agricultural products and machinery. They are expected to have an average annual salary of $61,600 – excluding benefits.

5. Industrial Engineers – are those that identify the most efficient method of using equipment, resources, information or energy to create new products and services. They are expected to have an average annual salary of $60,600 – excluding benefits.

6. Electrical Engineers - are those that create, oversee and test the production of electrical equipment like wiring, systems and transmission devices. They are expected to have an average annual salary of $59,700 – excluding benefits.

7. Mechanical Engineers - are those who study and research for efficient ways of designing, manufacturing and testing mechanical apparatus like combustion engines, generators, and turbines. They are expected to have an average annual salary of $58,500 –excluding benefits.

8. Health and Safety Engineers - not including mining safety engineers, are those that who work to create solutions to reduce the risk of safety hazards on worksites or product use. They are expected to have an average annual salary of $56,900–excluding benefits.

9. Environmental Engineers - are those who use principles of biology and chemistry to solve problems related to environment protection pollution control, recycling, waste disposal and public health. They are expected to earn an average annual salary of $53,300 – excluding benefits.

10. Civil Engineers – are those who deal primarily with construction. They plan, and supervise the construction of roads, buildings, dams, bridges and other infrastructures. They are expected to have an average annual salary of $52,700–excluding benefits.
