Becoming a Radiology Engineer
Who is a radiology engineer? In many hospitals many radiology equipment specialists are known as radiological engineer, medical imaging specialist, radiology engineer, rad tech, imaging specialist, or imagine engineer. There are many jobs related to this field. All are the same jobs such as a specialist in radiology.
What is the work of a radiology engineer They work for a planned preventive maintenance; a certification must be required for the calibration. An inspection for electrical safety on related equipment and imaging are required. By replacing a defective component they perform major repairs. To manufacture specification they re-assemble the components using a measuring device and proper tools. They contact with equipment operators and representatives of manufacturing field to solve the problem created in the equipment. They will provide responsibilities in on call service; start orders and research for repairing parts. Compile the quality assurance and conduct the necessary reports for the policies and the specification.
Then you have to determine where you want to get your training. There are two ways in Ohio RSTI, and Ditech. These two schools which are specialized in training images on few equipments such as: portable x-ray machines, ultrasound, CT, MRI's, x-ray machines which are portable, Radiography and Fluoroscopy, and other equipments which are used as supporting tools. There are also other famous schools like ECPI, but before that you must check your local area the schools which are so specialties which are not cheaper one so before joining in that decide on how to pay in the next step. Some of the schools automatically offer the financial aid, and some directly set up with a financial institution such as sallie made. So, in this you have to decide which one is better for your financial future and also fair with you in terms of your career.
